DATAGRAPHIC produced this sculpted embossing stationery suite featuring a monarch buck slip and envelope for Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh’s Extension 765 online marketplace.
Project designer, Joanna Bush, provided a photo of a vintage rotary phone, from which our die maker hand-tooled the sculpted embossing die, including the squiggly cord!
The note card was printed on Crane’s Pearl White Text and Cover, which was Mr. Soderbergh’s first choice for whiteness, weight and texture. This premium stock is 100% cotton and is superbly stable under the immense pressure of the engraving and embossing processes. It also wraps around a typewriter carriage beautifully — a bit cushy, welcoming the impression of typewriter keys.
