The die cut 3D invitation for A/D/O—a 23,000 square foot former warehouse in Greenpoint, Brooklyn that has been converted into a work space, gallery and start-up accelerator—was designed to mimic the work space’s iconic glass “Periscope” which sits in the center of the main studio. The invitation was for a Press Preview ahead of A/D/O’s official grand opening and a physical, three-dimensional object would create an immediate and memorable impact.
Several rounds of engineering were needed to get the shape and function just right so that the recipients could punch out and construct their very own Periscopes, which were foil stamped to suggest glass windows.
