Making your bakery stand out in New York City is tough, even if you’ve been serving up the best rugelach – a croissant-like Jewish pastry – for years. Fortunately for Lee Lee’s Bakery, DATAGRAPHIC crafted bakery boxes that deftly capture what’s made it one of the most beloved institutions in Harlem for decades – the personality of its founder, Alvin Lee Smalls.
Creating a new logo that retains elements of the original, DATAGRAPHIC then set to work developing an eye-catching package featuring the beaming face of “Lee Lee” himself. The custom bakery boxes cleverly recreate the bakery’s iconic red-and-white awning, right down to the die-cut edges. Inside, tasty treats are nestled in translucent vellum paper that conveys the bakery’s story.
The pièce de résistance, however, is a red-and-white hangtag in the shape of a rolling pin! The result is a testament to the clarity of vision that can be achieved when a top-of-its-game printing company handles everything from design to printing to finishing: DATAGRAPHIC is truly a one-stop print shop.
