Project: A stationery suite featuring a monarch buckslip + envelope for Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh’s Extension 765 online marketplace.
Print: Offset lithography, engraving, embossing. Project designer Joanna Bush provided a photo of a vintage rotary phone, from which our die maker hand-tooled the sculpted embossing die (including the squiggly cord!).
Stock: Crane’s Pearl White Text and Cover, Mr. Soderbergh’s first choice for whiteness, weight and texture. It’s 100% cotton, superbly stable under the pressures of engraving and embossing. Wraps around the typewriter carriage beautifully. A bit cushy, welcoming the impression of typewriter keys.
Finishing: Cards are edged in matching red.
