DATAGRAPHIC was asked to produce this distinctive tri-fold event invitation for one of the world’s top law firms, Kasowitz Benson Torres. To stimulate interest in the firm’s clerkship program, the invitation needed to conceptually align with the intimate affair, which was to be held in the swanky Meatpacking District of Lower Manhattan.
New talent recruitment in the New York City legal market is fiercely competitive and law firms are known to go all out with events targeting potential new clerks. We think the invitations we produced were sure to raise some eyebrows – and some interest – amongst the new recruits.
How we produced this visually stunning law firm event invitation.
Utilizing a gloss black screen printing ink we were able to achieve an elegant tone-on-tone effect that provided a shimmering depth to the triangular folds as they catch the light. Stark white screen printing ink was used to adorn the invitation with the firm’s logo causing it to pop against the jet black Curious Skin cover stock.
In addition to the repeating triangular motif in the gloss UV, the client loved the diagonal “barn doors” effect where each panel opens to reveal the event details within. Precision die cuts, scores and folds were required by our artisans to ensure that each invitation arrived perfectly.
According to the client, these uncommon law firm event invitations added an elegant touchpoint for their soiree, which “ended up feeling really upscale like a black tie event.”
