The deep impressions on this hardcover brand book set the stage for style.
We were asked to produce a gorgeous hardcover brand book for Marla Aaron that had to be both luxurious and colorful to represent the playful and popular jewelry brand. Famously obsessed with “bridges, hardware and jewelry,” Marla Aaron has made a name for herself by reimagining individual pieces of finished jewelry as “jewelry tools” that you can combine to create infinite unique creations. She even once installed a jewelry vending machine at the Brooklyn Museum.
What makes this Marla Aaron hardcover brand book so important?
Establishing a brand identity is key when launching a product as it serves as the core of the personality that customers interact with and eventually get to know and love. The “bible” of style for any brand is the brand book, which lays out in no uncertain terms how a brand should communicate its mission and values – both internally and with the public. Every blog post, tweet, bus wrap and halftime ad is informed and guided by the standards established in a brand book to ensure consistency of message.

How we produced this unique hardcover brand book.
The outer wrap of the cover was painted in pink Pantone 488U onto Neenah Classic Linen Natural White Text and stamped on both front and back in deep relief with orange pigmented foil, which is a classic representation of our craft. This branded sheet was then precision wrapped and glued around the boards before being sealed with the colorful end leaves.
The end leaves were digitally printed with a swirling wave pattern of official brand colors and extended to create a die cut peep hole that reveals a ticket to “ADMIT ONE” to the world of Marla Aaron. High quality Indigo digital printing allowed us to push the envelope to color match their PMS targets – to stay on brand.

Stock: Cover: 100# Classic Linen Classic Natural White Text; Interior pages: 100# Uncoated white smooth text.
Finishing: Fold, gather and smyth sew text. Wrap cover sheets around board with turned edge. Die cut rectangle on end leaf to show through to page 1 of text. Case text into hard cover and affix end leaves.
