Chocolate packaging as delectable as the cacao creations contained within.
We produced this elegant chocolate packaging for Deux Cranes that required some super-crisp fine lines of foil and needed to have a sturdy feel. Foil stamping is certainly one of our passions and it can also be difficult to work with if the design is at all intricate, such as in the legs and feathers of these stylized cranes.
The endlessly creative chocolatiers at Deux Cranes wanted to improve the quality of the very fine foil stamping of their logo and also to improve the functionality of the assembly of the die-cut folding carton. Working with thick cover stocks produced by Keaykolor and Colorplan, we were able to find just the right amount of pressure to create a recessed impression while preserving the crisp edges of their design.
The stocks were selected from a wide range of colors to complement each uniquely colored chocolate bar, which enticingly shows through a die cut window in the packaging. These hefty cover stocks also meant that we could die cut, score, fold and glue the packaging to be shipped flat, making it a breeze to pop open and insert their gorgeous chocolates into.
With combinations like dark chocolate with miso almonds or matcha chocolate with caramelized sesame it was a challenge to not start dreaming of dessert.
