A blind embossed invitation folio for an event too exclusive to mention.
Psst! At DATAGRAPHIC, we occasionally get to work on print projects that are so secretive that very few people actually ever get to see and hold them in their hands. Sometimes these projects come in the form of an invitation suite for an event so exclusive that even the details are intended solely for its lucky attendees. Such was the case with this extravagantly embossed invitation folio that we produced for luxury private jet company, Flexjet, for an uber-exclusive event held at — well, let’s just leave it at that.
We’d love to show off the incredible level of detail that we were able to achieve on the offset printed and triple foil stamped invitation, but, unless you received one in the mail, you’ll just have to live without. We can, however, share some lovely shots of what we feel is the real star of the entire suite: the blind embossed invitation folio that the accordion folded invite was mounted into.
How we produced this one-of-a-kind embossed invitation folio.
Consisting of carefully hand-mounted sheets of Neenah Classic Textures Techweave cover stock, the textured folio boasted an impressive thickness that lent an air of importance to the suite. The stock features an alien-like texture composed of an impossibly intricate pattern that nevertheless feels softly familiar to the touch.
The jet black envelope, which was screen printed in white onto Arjowiggins Curious Skin cover, felt almost carton-like in its three dimensionality. We’d like to think, now, that all questions about “how thick a stock can you run through your presses?” have been rendered moot.
Why DATAGRAPHIC excels at producing such elaborate event invitation suites.
We suspect that it might sound cliché to talk about how we love to “partner with” and “collaborate with” with our clients, but those really are the most accurate descriptors for how we produce such stunning pieces like this embossed invitation folio suite. Our decades of multi-process printing craftsmanship, which are informed by copious amounts of problem solving, make us an invaluable resource in supporting our clients’ creativity and imaginations.
At DATAGRAPHIC, we see every “impossible” request as a challenge to push our capabilities even farther. Our master printers and finishers constantly impress us with what can be achieved using inks, foils, substrates and tons of pressure. This project certainly moved that needle a bit.
